Command Sgt. Maj. Isaia Vimoto is moving on from Fort Bragg, but officials said he'll leave a lasting impression on the post.
Vimoto relinquished his responsibilities in a ceremony Monday as the 18th Airborne Corps' top noncommissioned officer.
The new top enlisted leader for the corps and Fort Bragg is Command Sgt. Maj. Benjamin Jones.
Vimoto, who had held the position since July 2012, will retire later this year, he said, ending a 34-year career. He will move with his family to Washington state.
